Login and Settings

QWhen trying to register my password, the “URL has expired or is incorrect” message appears.
ASet up your password from the “Forgot your password?” link.
Q I don’t know where the login page is.
ALog in from this link. (We recommend bookmarking this URL)
QThe plug-in icon is not showing.
AAccess your profile settings from clicking your name in the top right corner of the Print Creator homepage, and then clicking “Profile”.
Click “Edit Profile” and make sure that “Use Plug-in” is checked.
QWhat’s the difference between JavaScript and Plug-in?
A In Print Creator, there is no difference. However, for ease of settings we recommend using JavaScript.
Q I don’t know how to set up batch output.
AWhen registering a new Kintone app or by editing the settings of an already registered Kintone app, ensure that “Allow batch PDF output” is checked.
If editing an already registered Kintone app, you will have to click the “Put JavaScript” button once more.
QThe data that’s been displayed in Print Creator is different from what had been configured.
ACheck that the correct Kintone app has been registered.
https://yourdomain.kintone.com/k/OO is the correct number as the desired app.

Functions and Use

Q Is it possible to reference data from multiple applications into one layout?
AIt’s possible to do this with App Relation.
For information on how to set up App Relation,check out this article.
QWhen using batch PDF output, the exported records were different from the ones displayed on the record overview screen.
ACheck the user registered in the settings for connecting Kintone to Print Creator.
Print Creator uses the permissions of the user registered here when performing batch PDF outputs, so you may need to change the viewing permissions of this user to allow them to view all the necessary records.
QThe field I want to use from my Kintone app is not shown in Print Creator.
AAfter editing a Kintone app, you need to update the field list in Print Creator.
All linked applications in Print Creator have four navy icons on the right side of their title section. Clicking the third button (Two arrows going in a circle) will update the field list.
QThe time is also shown when displaying the date.
AFrom the edit sheet layout page, edit the date and time format in the menu on the left.
QI’m using symbols in my Kintone app (such as ¥) but they’re not showing up in Print Creator.
AYou’ll need to add this directly in Print Creator when adding in fields.
Ex: ¥{%TotalSum%}
QHow can I set Print Creator to only show a certain number of decimal points or include thousands separators?
AYou can set both in the Numbers formatting in the edit sheet layout page.
Q I can’t seem to adjust the row spacing well when using tables.
AUse the w and h parameters in the menu on the left to adjust sizing.

Errors

QAn error appears when trying to connect my Kintone domain to Print Creator.
AThe username and password used when connecting your Kintone domain to Print Creator is your username and password used in Kintone.
Make sure that Basic Authentication and Secure Access are not enabled in Kintone.
QWhen trying to preview a layout, the “No records found to preview” error shows up.
AThere is no data in the Kintone app.
Preview uses the newest record, so if there are no records, there is no data that can be used in preview. Please try adding a record.
QWhen trying to preview a layout, the “Unknown table code” error shows up.
AThis is an error that comes up when Print Creator cannot find any table settings in the linked Kintone app.
If there definitely is a table in the app, check that field code has not been changed or that there are no unnecessary elements in the layout.

Operating Environment

Q I created an invoice layout, but when I go to the edit layout sheet screen, my layout is not shown.
ACheck your browser version. A list of supported browsers can be found here
QWhen printing from the preview page on Google Chrome, text data is omitted. What should I do?
AThis is a phenomenon coming from the browser you’re using. We apologize for any inconvenience but ask that you use a different browser.
An alternative solution is to download the PDF and then open it in another program to print.
